Re-United States (Published 2010)

Re-United States, the book, was written by Dr. Marc Weisman at a time when concerns about ideological infiltration, far-left influence in the Democrat party, non-violent jihad, and America’s internal political fragmentation were widely minimized or ignored.

The book is no longer actively promoted or sold by the author. It remains available only through secondary resellers and is referenced here solely as background for the commentary and essays that followed.

The book argued that the most serious threat facing the West would not arrive through conventional military conquest, but through a gradual process of cultural erosion—enabled by moral relativism, political polarization, and the reluctance of liberal democracies to defend their own civilizational foundations.

In the years since its publication—culminating in the events surrounding October 7, 2023, and their global aftermath—many of its central warnings have moved from theoretical to unmistakable.

Written in plain, non-partisan language, Re-United States examined both violent and non-violent forms of Islamist ideology alongside the internal political and cultural divisions that weaken democratic resilience. It drew a clear distinction between Islam as a faith and Islamism as a political project, rejecting racial or religious generalizations while insisting on intellectual honesty about ideology and intent.

The final section proposed a framework for civic renewal, arguing that national strength begins not with slogans or party loyalty, but with cultural confidence, shared civic values, and a willingness to confront uncomfortable realities.
